Affective disorders are psychiatric diseases with multiple aspects, including biological, behavioural, social, and psychological factors. These are mental disorders that can be associated with mood disturbance and psychotic symptoms, which include depression, anxiety and mania. Persons with an affective disorder may or may not have psychotic symptoms such as delusions or hallucinations.
