GM, 37, November, 2007
Delirium is the term used to describe a state of fl uctuating organic mental confusion,
usually of abrupt onset and relatively short duration. It results in impaired attention and
concentration, impaired consciousness, disordered perception, usually visual hallucinations
as well as autonomic features such as sweating and tachycardia. Professor Stephan Curran
and Professor John Wattis discuss the condition.
