Half of older people on too many medicines & taking them not as prescribed

New research has revealed that eight in 10 GPs are not confident their older patients are still taking their medicines correctly six months after consultation.  The research, commissioned by Pharmacy Voice, also found that more than half (50.3%) their patients, over 75 and on more than four medicines, would benefit from taking fewer medicines.
