Hypertension

Hypertension is the UK’s single most common medical condition and one of the major risk factors for cardiovascular disease. There is no greater evidence-base in clinical practice for the management of hypertension. A plethora of studies informs clinicians of best practice, which is critically assessed by the British Hypertension Society (BHS) in conjunction with NICE. The BHS and NICE recently revised the guidance for the management of hypertension, which will see some fundamental changes in the diagnosis and management of hypertension.
