Life after guidelines: what’s new in Parkinson’s disease?

It has been five years since NICE published its guidance for Parkinson’s disease. There have been several new developments since the publication of this guidance, including new drugs, new formulations and some controversial changes in strategy. The fundamental principles of managing Parkinson’s disease have not changed but in the light of these developments, some aspects of care may need to be re-thought.
