The data is from a new observational study of 191 patients with confirmed COVID-19 from two hospitals in Wuhan, China, and was published in The Lancet today. Specifically, being of an older age, having a high Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score, and having d-dimer greater than 1μg/L are the factors that could help clinicians to identify patients with poor prognosis at an early stage.
