the quality of emergency medical care provided for elderly world travellers. In this article, Dr
Iain McIntosh reviews the pitfalls of travel insurance for elderly travellers and recommends
ways in which healthcare practitioners can help as their advice may prove to be of greater
health benefit to the elderly traveller than recommendations on vaccines and prophylaxis.
